How to Improve the Harm of Interior Lighting to Human Body?

Most of our time is indoors, so the indoor lighting system should be designed with human centered.

Whether it is a public building or a home building, indoor lighting is inevitably harmful to the human body. For example, we often say that the UGR value is usually calculated according to the international certification standard GB50034-2004. We stipulate that the glare value of the light is lower than 19.

Nowadays, due to the popularity of LEDs, research on the luminescence characteristics of LEDs is particularly important. The white light source of the LED is based on blue light, and its wavelength belongs to the blue light damage damage retina.

LED light source blue light radiation ratio

The harm of LED blue light to the human eye must be taken seriously. Blu-ray hazards are everywhere, and the higher the color temperature, the greater the hazard of blue light. Only those who produce light sources pay attention to it and use advanced technology to improve this hazard.

The blue light radiation decreases with the decrease of the color temperature. The LED low-power light source with the color temperature below 3500K is in the acceptable blue light range, and the color temperature is above 6000K, the blue light radiation is very harmful. The data shows that there are still many high color temperature LED illumination sources.

4500K color temperature lighting

Home interior lights, offices, schools, etc., need to consider anti-glare, blue light structure, to avoid high-intensity light directly into the human eye.
The high color temperature makes the indoor ceiling light look more uniform or brighter, which is a wrong concept. Long time in high color temperature, the eyes will have many adverse consequences.

For commercial lighting, it is recommended to use LED white light with  color temperature below 6000K, up to 6500K.
For office lighting,  color temperature range of 5000K to 3200K is recommended.
For home lighting, try to use a single lamp with power of less than 8W,  the color temperature is below 3500K.
For lighting LEDs, try to use high color rendering products.
For reading lamps, it is best to use an LED light source with high color rendering,  color temperature below 3200K and power of less than 6W.
